

Frances C. Barry, 85, of Springfield, died at (time) Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center. Frances was born November 1, 1919 in Pawnee the daughter of James and Anna Kutchma Shannahan. She married William Barry; he preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Barry, a 1937 graduate from Pawnee High School, was employed by St. John’s Hospital for 25 years as a medical transcriptionist. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, two daughters, Kathleen and Anne Marie Barry, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia (husband, Pete) Lard of Pekin, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., Springfield. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., Springfield with Fr. Chuck Edwards. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Little Flower School, 800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., Springfield. The family of Frances C. Barry is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
