Frances M. Kluge

Frances was born November 21, 1938, in Springfield, the daughter of Francis Stuart and Lillie Mae Davis Lakin. She married Thomas Kluge Sr. in 1964; he preceded her in death on June 30, 2014.

Frances worked at Hope School and retired after over 20 years of service. She was a member of Southside Christian Church. She loved playing Bunco, shopping, and spending time with her grandkids.

Frances was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Lee Kluge, Sr.; and sister, Rose Lakin.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy Kluge, Jr. of Springfield and Jimmy (Melanie) Kluge of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Lisa (Scott) Reese of Springfield; grandkids, Jason, Kristy, and Katie Kluge and Jacob, Joshua, and Emily Kimmel; great-grandson, Ben Kluge; sisters, Connie Lakin of Ft. Myers, FL and Pamela Rhodes of Springfield; and nephew and niece, Michael and Melissa Box.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Brooks Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
