She was born in Waverly, IL December 12, 1928, the daughter of Lester and Edith (Miller) Seales. She married Harry Miller, and he preceded her in death in 1963. She later married William Yoder, and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, David Miller in 2015 and her brother, Stanley Seales, and her sister, Joann Burgard.
Frances graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and spent her career caring for many patients. In addition to serving in various hospitals, she also served several physicians who were in private practice. She then worked for SIU School of Medicine.
She is survived by her two daughters; Elaine Kerhlikar of Pawnee, IL and Andrea McFadden of Westlake Village, CA, her five grandchildren: Tara Miller, Dustin (Lori) Miller, Aubrie (Todd) Megginson, Caitlin (Matt) Wright and Ian (Elaine) McFadden, her eight great grandchildren: Dominic, Thomas, Grady and Callum Miller, Tadd and Marlee Megginson, and Tristan and Bradley McFadden. Also surviving is her sister, Judith (William) Meiers and her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Miller.
Per Frances wishes, her body has been donated to science for medical education and research.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
