He was born on May 26, 1922 to Hazel and Frank E. Farley in Springfield, Illinois.
Frank is survived by his sister, Betty Farley Bone (David), nephew David Farley Bone (Joanne), niece Barbara Bone Taylor (Alan), and four great nieces and nephews.
Frank graduated from Chatham High School, Blackburn College, and the University of Illinois. During World War II, Frank served in the U.S. Army in Europe under General Patton. For most of his professional life, Frank was a bank examiner for the State of Illinois. Frank was a member of the Chatham Presbyterian Church, the Illini Club, the YMCA, and the Springfield Yacht Club. He was a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan. Additional interests were gardening and photography. Frank was a good friend to many people and will be missed greatly.
Memorials may be made in Frank’s memory to the Chatham Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service will be held at the Chatham Cemetery on Monday, March 9th, 2009 at 2:00 PM.
