Frank "Frankie" L. Smithers

Frank was born on November 18, 1980, in Springfield, the son of John and Ramona Ramirez Smithers. He married Ann Day on February 8, 2018, at St. Joseph Church in Springfield.

Frank was a very dedicated father, and his children and family were of utmost importance to him. He loved his sneaker collection and enjoyed rooting on the St. Louis Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Smithers of Springfield; six children, Jason, Zoey, Jordan, Franki, Kobe Smithers, and Ciana Day; his mother, Ramona Ramirez of Loami, IL; two grandchildren on the way; one brother, John (wife, Sharon) Smithers of Chatham; nephews, Devin, Manny, and John “Bubby” Smithers; great-nephews, Devin Jr. and Diego Smithers; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
