

Frank Monte, Jr., 58, of Williamsville, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2003 at his home. Frank was born July 5, 1945 in Hillsboro the son of Frank and Mary Cresto Monte. He married Linda Marty April 24, 1971 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Pana. Mr. Monte was a graduate from Hillsboro High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He retired in May 2003 after 36 years as a Landscape Architect for the Illinois Department of Transportation. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sherman. He was the President of Capitol Ostomy Association, Inc. and a member of Knight of Columbus Council # 4175 in Deveraux Heights. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife: Linda Monte of Williamsville; one son: Matthew Monte of Williamsville; two daughters; Shelly (husband, David) Osbourne of Columbus, IN, Angela (husband, Mark) Bowen of Granite City; his mother: Mary Monte of Panama; one sister: Sheila (husband, Denny) DalCanton of Hillsboro; one granddaughter on the way and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 3-6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2003. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2003 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sherman. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at Union Cemetery in Panama, IL.
