Frederica "Freddie" Dengler, 57, of Springfield, died at 12:38 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Capitol Care Center. Frederica was born January 31, 1952 in West Germany, the daughter of Gerhart and Wally Vogel. Frederica was a caring woman who always took care of others. She enjoyed cross stiching, painting, flower gardening and her pet birds. She is survived by her daughter, Carla (husband, Ken) Grubb of Springfield; three brothers, Peter of York, PA, Lothar of Kansas and Bennett Vogel of Pekin; one sister, Shirley Mattalozzo of Morton; and many nieces and nephews.
