He was born in Springfield on April 24, 1960, the son of Henry and Helen (Davis) Freligh.
Frederick was a hardworking man who was devoted to his family. He attended Springfield Southeast and graduated with the class of 1969. Frederick was drafted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served as a military police officer stationed in Germany. He enjoyed fishing and watching baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lyle Frantz and Ronald and Dennis Freligh; and sister, Barbara Frantz.
Frederick is survived by his son, Michael (Amanda Walden) Freligh of Springfield; daughters, Michelle (Tyler Hollar) Freligh of Taylorville and Melissa (Josh) Freligh-Bright of Minnesota; grandchildren, Anna, Tesla, and Razelle Freligh; siblings, Sandra (John Christopher) Nadziejko of Springfield, Dennis (“Booty”) Frantz of Muscotah and Larry (wife, Jo) Freligh of Alabama; former spouse, Barbara Freligh; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Inurnment will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
