

Gale Eugene Tate, 61, of Springfield, died at 2:45 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. Gale was born July 7, 1943 in Mechanicsburg, the son of Faye and Clara Tate Beadle. Mr. Tate was a cook for various restaurants in Springfield as well as cooking in Vandalia at the Vandalia Country Club. He then earned his Certified Nursing Assistant Degree at Pensacola Florida Junior College. He began working in nursing homes in Florida and then became a home health aid. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Gale enjoyed playing Bingo and going to flea markets. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his life partners: Gregory E. Bradfield and Vesper B. Landin both of Springfield; daughter: Tonya Mischelle Tate of Portland, TN; two grandchildren: Jessica Nicole Cornwell and Casey Autumn Bush both of Portland, TN; one sister: Carolyn (husband, Michael) Romanotto of Springfield and one niece. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Dr. Allan Cook officiating.
