Gary W. Dozier, 70, of Springfield, died on September 3, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center. Gary was born on June 29, 1938 in Pawnee, the son of Woodrow L. and Imogene Warren Dozier. He married Donna Waganer on September 18, 1965. Gary graduated from Pawnee High School in 1956 where he was voted All Conference Football Player. He retired from the IL Department of Professional Regulation after dedicated service and was former Vice President of Manchester Community Bank in Missouri. Gary was an avid Cardinal Baseball and Illini fan. He will be remembered as a truly devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Preceding Gary in death were his parents and son, Dru Dozier. He is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Crystal (husband, Vernon) Burchett of Loami; and two grandchildren, Devon and Derek Burchett. Following private family services, cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
