Gary J Howell Sr.

Gary J. Howell Sr., 74, of Spaulding, passed away on September 10, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 18, 1952 in Springfield to Donald Howell and Rita Murphy Howell. Gary married Judith Ann Gudgel on September 6, 1969 in Louisiana, Missouri and she survives.

Mr. Howell is also survived by one daughter Alisha (David) Mirabile of Sherman, three of his favorite grandchildren: Grayson, Drew and Kendyl, six sisters: Nancy (Lynn) McTaggart of Pawnee, Kathy Howell of Springfield, JoAnn Bounds of Springfield, Mary (JP) McClernon of Ft. Myers, Florida, Peggy (Mark Mierzejewski) Howell of Williamsville and Lori Howell of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Gary J. Howell Jr.

Gary was a driver for Springfield Mass Transit District.

Cremation rites were accorded and a private service was held.
