Geneva Moore

Geneva was born July 29, 1934, in Hardin County, IL, the daughter of Burley and Bell Crider Sisco. She married James “JE” Moore, on July 4, 1953, in Elizabethtown, IL.

Geneva graduated from Rosiclare High School. She enjoyed riding behind JE on his Harley and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Geneva was a stay-at-home mother for most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and ten brothers and sisters.

Geneva is survived by her husband, JE Moore of Spaulding; her children, Sandy Ashby of Clinton, Marcia (Joe) Hopper of Homer, IL, Jim (Debbie) Moore, and Russell (Jo) Moore, both of Riverton; grandchildren, Brian (Sherry) Ashby, Doug Ashby, Joie (Matt) Sarver and their children, Orion (Brandie), Peyton, and Lilly, Cale (Lauren) Hopper and their children, Addi and Emmi, Jill Hopper, Beth (Jimmy) Turley and their children, Huck and Wyatt, Katie (Craig) Moore and their children, Kaylan and Kinlee, Anna (Jordan) Lyons and their children, Casen and Beau, JD (Danielle) Moore and their children, Josey and Hudson, Gottlieb Moore, Joseph (Megan) Watson and their children, Andrew, Hayley, Alex, Asher, and Harper, Tiffany (Kris) Schicker and their son, Kristopher, Russell Moore, Sam Moore, Kayla (Jake) Taapken and their children, Sunnie, Layla, and Preslee, Allie (Chris) Drew, and Johnny (Payton) Sirtout and their children, Aidan and Paisley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at South Tower Community Church, 1350 S Tower Rd., Dawson, IL. A funeral ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Charlie Carver officiating. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
