George F. Morris, 63, of Springfield, died at 4:26 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. George was born November 14, 1949 in Danville, the son of Anthony George and Frances Josephine Omahen Morris. George received his bachelor's degree from University of Illinois in Business Administration. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and U of I fan. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three brothers, John A. Morris Sr. of Springfield, Joe (wife, Marci) Morris and Mark P. Morris, both of Champaign. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola officiating.
