Even after all these years....it's so hard for me during Father's day knowing you're not here. I miss you so much Dad. I just wish I could sit on the couch with you on Sunday and watch golf again. I love you and miss you so much

George was our agent and friend for a number of years. We will miss his warmth, good humor, and dedication. We would like to express our sincere condolences to the entire Reavy family.

I have known the Reavy family for many years. George was born in 1954 and my Daughter Janet Frkovich was born in 1955 and died in 1970. They both attended Blessed Sacrament School and his parents were at Jannie's funeral. God Bless his family. Sincerely, Joanne Frkovich Staber

Melody and family, My heart is so very sad today. George was the very first person I met and became close to during our "Chamber days". He gave his infamous kiss hello and always had his great smile on his face. I think George was the one who drew us all together and friendships that devoloped during that time continue today. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and take comfort in knowing that George is in a better place.

Claire, It has been over 25 years since I worked for George at Reavy, Grady & Crouch. Keith just emailed me about your son, George, who was just starting business with us then. Please know how heartfelt my sympathy is for you. I too lost my son when he was 21, a senior in college. Nothing prepares you for such hurt and pain. God and time were my only allies. I did not know George Sr. had died either. Please know you are in my prayers. I continued on in real estate for the next 25 years in Dallas Tx. after moving from Springfield in l979, and just retired this month to write, golf and relax. Time has flown faster than one would dream. You are blessed to have such a big family to help you survive this very sad loss. Remember, Both George's are still with you every step of the way. George has been my dear friend since we were in 5th grade at Blessed Sacrament. That friendship continued into our professional lives as George handled a very large insurance account for us. I never worried, knowing George would take care of everything. We got to know Melody, George and Kelly at the Gingerbread House Day Care Center - they were, without a doubt, the cutest kids there! George loved his family so much and was so very proud of his children - he talked about them constantly. I have been so sad knowing that George has been sick, and so helpless knowing that there was nothing I could do to help. He had such a great smile and always lit up a room when he entered. It is so sad that the Reavy family has lost a son, a husband, a father, a brother. I take comfort in knowing that he is in a safer, more comfortable place where he will not suffer. My prayers are with the entire Reavy family in this time of sorrow.

To George's family, I send my sincere condolences. I am saddened by his death but his friendship and those memories will continue to live. He was a special person and I benefited greatly from our time together as roomates. I would like you to know his kindness, loyalty to friends, and spirited personality continue to have an impact on me today.

I'm George's youngest brother, Dan. In reflecting on George's life and death, I've come to realize that he really isn't gone, because parts of him live on in so many of us. For instance, George introduced me to my first keg party at age 10, my first "R" Rated movie (Dog Day Afternoon) at age 11, and a lot of really great rock and roll music throughout the 60's and early 70's. I find myself today a Pacino fan who drinks too much beer, while listening to too much Stones music. Whenever I hear a classic song or see a great old movie, or even touch a beer to my lips, I will naturally think of Good Ole Georgie. George will always live on in our memories and in all the little influences he had on the things we do in life. I love my Brother George, and I will miss him dearly. I can see him now, sitting next to my Dad at a picnic table by the Lake on a warm July afternoon, listening to a Cardinals/Cubs game (Cards winning, of course), with a Marlboro in one hand and a can of Busch in the other, and I just know he is happy.

Dear Claire & Reavy Family, Please accept our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of The Reavy's at this very difficult time. Georgie was a great man who was always talking about his children. I met George at RW Troxell and liked him from the second I met him. Georgie will be greatly missed by all his friends, family and acquaintances. I will never forget this wonderful individual!
