George E. Riley, 86, of Springfield, died at 9:25 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center. George was born February 3, 1918 in Des Moines, IA the son of Richard and Fannie Mae Harding O’Riley. He married Alberta E. Goodall March 21, 1945; she preceded him death February 12, 1994. Mr. Riley worked for Anderson Concrete and Pipe and later as a janitor for various businesses retiring at age 65. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two daughters: Cynthia (husband, William J.) Luster and Sandra (husband, Robert M) Warner both of Springfield; three grandchildren: Kimberly (husband, Nicholas) White, Robert Allen Warner and Marisha Marie Warner; one great grandson: David Medell Lum Leach and expecting a great granddaughter: Trinity Elizabeth White. Family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hardway officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery near Riverton.
