

George M. Trello, Jr. 88, of Springfield, died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003 at St. John’s Hospice. George was born June 13, 1915 in Springfield the son of George M. and Mary Butka Trello. He married Rose Valeria Papciak August 13, 1938 in Chicago; she preceded him in death December 9, 1996. Mr. Trello was employed as a truck driver for E and F Distributing Company where he retired. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was an usher. He was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, Joe’s Club and Knights of Columbus Council #4175. He was a Senior Citizens Volunteer and a life long member of Teamsters #916. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son: John J. Trello; two brothers: John and Thomas F. Trello and two sisters: Agnes Schulte and Mary Meiron. He is survived by four sons: Raymond G.(wife, Carolyn), George M. III (wife, Sue), Anthony F. (wife, Sandra) and Thomas “Greg” (wife, Debbie) Trello all of Springfield; one daughter: Valerie (husband, George) Trello- Marcovecchio of Suwanee, GA; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother: Paul Trello of Tampa, FL; one sister: Ann DeWitt of Casper, WY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Concelebrated Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Kenneth C. Steffen principal celebrant and Reverend Eugene Cieslik. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent Society of Sacred Heart Church 700 S. 12th St., P.O.
