
Georgiana “Georgia” Eleanor Nold, 88, a resident of Springfield for fifty-two years, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 12, 2001 at her residence. Georgiana was born July 18, 1913 the daughter of Joseph Henry and Anna Matilda Kronenberger Fuchs in Belleville, IL. She married Clarence S. Nold November 25, 1937 in Belleville, IL; he preceded her in death April 2, 1987. Mrs. Nold was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Belleville. She served for twenty-five years as a member of St. John’s Hospital Guild. She was a fifteen year member of The King’s Daughter’s Circle and a thirty-seven year member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed playing in multiple Bridge Clubs. Georgiana was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by one son: Dr. Stephen R. (wife, Sally) Nold of Western Springs, IL; one daughter: Mary Ellen (husband, Robert) Dooley of Bloomington; five grandchildren: Allison and Carolyn Nold, Victoria, Neil and Lauren Bratberg and her loving caregivers Terry and Mary McCulley, and Eve Perdun. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2001 with a Wake Service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2001 at Christ the King Church with Rev. David S. Lantz celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church 1930 Barberry Dr., Springfield, IL 62704.
