Georgine F. Moyer

Georgine F. Moyer, 94, of Macon, Illinois, formerly of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on October 31, 2026 at astern Star Nursing Facility in Macon. She was born on May 25, 1932 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania to Mary Fadule Creta. Georgine married George D. Moyer on December 29, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1991.

Mrs. Moyer is survived by one son George Moyer Jr., two grandchildren: Andrew Moyer and Vanessa Packingham, four great-grandchildren: Dominic, Trinity, Brinleigh and Camden Packingham, three great-grandchildren: Evelyn Mae Packingham, Dominic Packingham Jr., and Saige Packingham, one brother Martin Creta, two sisters: Patricia Bell and Marietta and several nieces and nephews.

Georgine worked for Franklin Life Insurance, Nieman Foods, Springfield Memorial Hospital and she was a substitute teacher. She was a member of the Eastern Star, The Order of the Amaranth and The Daughters of the Nile.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday November 9, 2026 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street.
