Gerald G. "Jerry" Mottershaw

He was born on October 7, 1938 in Kincaid, IL, the son of the late John Stanley and Irene (Vernetti) Mottershaw. He married Verona Bridgwater on July 20, 1963 in Kincaid, IL and she survives.

Jerry served with the U.S. Air Force Reserves and served overseas during the Berlin Crisis. He worked as a tire inspector at Bridgestone/Firestone in Decatur, IL. He was a member of Midland United Methodist Church in Kincaid, IL.

Besides his wife Verona, he is survived by his daughter Michelle (husband Kenneth) Mottershaw of Kincaid, IL; 2 grandchildren, Zayne and Zeth Mottershaw; a brother Robert (wife Katy) Mottershaw of Bossier City, LA; and extended family member Pam (husband Carl) Williams of Kincaid, IL.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Angela Mottershaw.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 1 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery In Taylorville, IL, with Pastor Chad Foster officiating.
