He was born on January 31, 1930, the son of Glen M. and Grace E. (Brooks) Orr in Indiana. Glen married Virginia L. Niebal on July 22, 1963, in Belleville, IL. She preceded him in death in 1996.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel E. Orr; sister, Colleen Lancaster; and four brothers, Donald, Eugene, James and Bill Orr.
Glen worked at Sangamo Electric for many years and retired from the First National Bank. He enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Patricia (George) Michaels of Houston, TX; brother, Carl (Myra Jean) Orr of Springfield; sister, Shirley Kansteiner of Quincy; grandson, Tom Sommers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
