

Glenda was born on January 5, 1939, in Iowa Falls, IA, the daughter of Kenneth and Ardice Hodnefield Cammack.
She graduated from Radcliffe High School, in Radcliffe, IA, in 1956 where she was valedictorian. Glenda then attended Iowa State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Art. She worked for the State of Illinois in several agencies until her retirement in 1999. Glenda was active with First United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. In her spare time, Glenda was an avid traveler and visited many countries and she was active in Ski Club. She also enjoyed genealogy, flower gardening, dancing, sewing, and refinishing furniture. Most of all, Glenda treasured time with her family and her grand-dog, Sophie.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dr. Kevin Cammack.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Tjelta of Springfield, and Melissa (Tim) Childs of O’Fallon; grandchildren, Tate Childs of Anna, and Haley (Corbin Atterberry) Childs of Columbia, MO; brothers, Dr. Charles “Chuck” (Linda) Cammack of Lenexa, KS, and Roger (Sandy) Cammack of Ellsworth, IA; sister-in-law, Sue Bowlby; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. West, Springfield.
Additional ceremonies and burial will take place at a later date in Radcliffe, IA.
