Grace L. Barrington

She was born in Hastings, NE, July 25, 1914 the daughter of Edwin and Cornelia (Hetrick) Griffith. She married John Barrington Jr and he preceded her in death. She then married Clarence Pierce and he also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; Lester, Wilbur and Leland Griffith, and two sisters, Mabel and Augusta.

Grace retired from Fiat-Allis after many years of service. She was raised in the Asbury United Methodist Church. Grace enjoyed spending time with her sister Leoda, having lunch and visiting.

Surviving are her sister Leoda Birnbaum of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews, and a special friend Mike Bethard.

Visitation and Funeral Service: The family will greet friends at the Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL. Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 12 noon until the time of services there at 1:00 pm. Rev. George Heineman will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
