He was born on March 23, 1954, in Eunice, LA, the son of Louis and Genevieve (Rozas) Dischler.
Gregory graduated from Eunice High School with the class of 1972 and earned his PhD from Louisiana State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gregory is survived by his siblings, Lou (Nancy) of Spartanburg, SC, Steve (Cathy) of Eunice, LA, Vicki (Bob) of Happy Valley, OR, and Diaunne of Lafayette, LA; uncle, Richard Dischler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
