Gregory was born October 27, 1964, in Milwaukee, WI, the much-loved son of Dr. Larry Holcomb and Virginia “Stevie” Holcomb; the brother of Matthew and Jennifer; the uncle of Tatym, Emmett, and Finnegan; and a friend to many.
He was a District 186 special education teacher and administrator to hundreds of students throughout his thirty-plus year career. Gregory was also a martial arts enthusiast, teacher, and mentor. He has left us too soon and his passing will leave a void in the lives of his friends and family and a hole in the hearts of those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.
Private family inurnment will be held.
