
Harold E. Jordan, 81, of Middletown, passed away at 11:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Heritage Manor. Harold was born May 26, 1928 in Fancy Creek, IL, the son of Charles E. and Nola Jean Fink Jordan. Harold graduated from Lanphier High School and earned his Master's Degree in Economics from Sangamon State University. He served his country in the Marine Corps. He returned to Illinois and worked for the State of Illinois in Springfield, later at State Farm in Bloomington, Illinois, and eventually returned to Springfield and worked for the Internal Revenue Service . In the early eighties he moved to Oklahoma where he worked as an IRS Auditor for the State of Oklahoma in Tulsa. Harold enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar and listening to Paul Harvey on the radio. As a young man, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons, Tom Jordan of Peoria and Gary Jordan of Springfield; his brother, Charles Jordan, Jr. of Hamilton, IL; and his two sisters, Linda Andreen of WY and Norma Tenuto of Springfield. Graveside ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Brent Mitchell officiating. Please meet inside the Memorial Park Gates to join in procession. Memorial contributions may be made to the 3rd Presbyterian Church, 1030 N. 7th St., Springfield, IL 62701.
