She was born on March 2, 1935 in Lawrenceville, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Harriett (Leighty) Rasico. She married Benjamin Watkins on June 25, 1957 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Springfield and he preceded her in death on Oct., 27, 2001.
Harriett enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, painting, jigsaw puzzles, and board games. She also enjoyed dancing when she was younger. She loved her dog and her cat.
She is survived by her children, Karen Le Belle of Petersburg, IL, David Watkins of Florida, Martin Watkins of Oregon, Anthony Watkins of Albany, WI, Corinne Watkins of Albany, WI, and Douglas Watkins of Carmi, IL. Also surviving are her sister, Nancy McGuyer of Newburg IN and a grandson Nathaniel Le Belle of Petersburg, IL.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 at 10 am, with Rev. Daniel J. Bergbower officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield.
