Harvey “Curt” Hayes, 72, of Springfield, died at 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital, Hospice Unit. Curt was born October 27, 1934 in Springfield. He married Joyce Groves on November 20, 1965 in Springfield. Curt worked for Pillsbury Mills until his retirement in 1991. He was preceded in death by his sister: Inez Zepp and brother: Jerry Hayes. He is survived by his wife: Joyce Hayes of Springfield; one son: David (wife, Sandy) Hayes of Apple Valley, CA; two daughters: Stacey Conaway of Springfield and Anna (husband, Terry) Seaton of Claremont, IL; and seven grandchildren: Rod Conaway, Jr., Jennifer Conaway, Catlin Hayes, Bridget Hayes, Megan Seaton, Hunter Seaton and Lacey Seaton. Cremation was accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1305 Wabash, Suite J, Springfield, IL 62704.
