

She was born in Springfield, Aug. 16, 1930 the daughter of Alfred and Agnes Lard Miller. Her parents, a brother Leo Miller and her son, Michael Moughan all preceded her in death.
Helen retired from Horace Mann Insurance Co. in 2000 after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Thayer United Methodist Church. She was a sweet, kind and gentle woman who always had a kind word to say. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Helen was good at crafts, knitting, and sewing. She loved animals and especially her yorkie, TJ. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her children; John (Rita) Moughan of Springfield, David (Pamela) Moughan, of Pleasant Plains, IL, James (Jeannette) Moughan of Rochester, Debra (Dale) Deweese of Lonedell, MO, and Mark Moughan of Elkhart, IL. She has 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Alfred “Bud” Miller of Omaha, NE, two sisters; Donna Williams of Auburn and Alberta (Bill) Brown of Kincaid, IL as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her longtime companion, Joe Jarvis.
Visitation: Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 from 4-7 pm.
Funeral Service: Bisch Funeral Home West at 10:00 am Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 with Rev. Nathan Kern officiating. Burial will follow in Stout Cemetery, near Chatham.
