Helen W. Reynolds

She was born in Springfield, August 3, 1920 the daughter George T. and May (O'Dell) Dudleston. Helen married W. Duane Reynolds, May 31, 1938 and he preceded he preceded her in death April 28, 1990. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; Margaret, Georgia May, and Verna.

Helen worked in the Gift Wrap and Delivery Department of the John Bressmer Co. which later became Stix, Baer, and Fuller retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, volunteered in the burn unit at Memorial Medical Center where she made bandages. She was a past member and served as president for 5 years of the Southlawn Home Extension.

Surviving are her daughter; Carol (husband Donald) Reynolds Aldrich of Springfield, two sons; Carl (wife Donna) Reynolds of Hillsboro, IL., and Clifford A. Reynolds of Springfield, 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch & Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen where visitation will be on Tuesday January 11, 2011 from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 pm. Dr. Richard Ahlgrim will officiate. A eulogy will be offered by her grandson, Randy Aldrich. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery near Riverton.

In lieu of flowers, those that wish may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Youth ministries at Berean Baptist Church.
