Irmgard and my mother, Ann Mullaney, both attended St. John's Lutheran Church and were great friends. Most Sundays they would sit together at church, then meet afterwards at Panera and spend the next few hours talking, sharing stories, sharing their losses, and solving world problems. Irmgard, like my mother, always dressed to the nines and looked so lovely. They were blessed to have each other. Heaven has gained another angel.

I was born in Chicago in 1946. My father passed in 1952 from polio. Aunt Irmgard was married to one of his 2 brothers Norman. I was a flower girl in their wedding. I still have the picture. We moved to California in 1956. I really wanted to stay in Illinois close to my family. Now I grieve for my aunt who I was only able to talk via telephone. She was a grand lady and had so many wonderful tales to tell of her life in Germany and here in the USA. 3 years ago my heart problems began just when I was planning a trip to see her and travel to other areas along the Midwest and Virginia and Michigan Illinois.
I’m praying that someday we can still make that trip and stop at her grave. Sending PRAYERS to my lovely Aunt who has joined her family in heaven. Cheryl L Joy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
