Demmon was born on January 2, 1979, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Jackie "Jack" Raymond Guimard and Debby Jean (Hawkins) Guimard. He graduated from Lanphier High School in 1997 and earned his associate degree from Morrison Institute of Technology.
Demmon worked as a Senior Engineering Technician joining Crawford, Murphy, and Tilley (CMT) in May of 1999 in their Springfield Illinois Water Resources Group, which was close to 22 years. Demmon was recognized for his dedication to CMT and was the recipient of two Above & Beyond (A&B) awards; his first A&B award was presented to him in March 2010 for his work on the Springfield Metro Sanitary District. In 2019, Demmon again was recognized for his exemplary performance and overall contribution to the Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District—CIPP (cured-in-place-pipe) Sewer Rehabilitation Project.
Demmon was also awarded for his remarkable artwork during the On My Own Time City-Wide Art Exhibit hosted by the Springfield Art Association. He annually participated with his family to honor his father during the Springfield Walk to Defeat ALS. Demmon enjoyed serving his community by volunteering at the United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Roadside Cleanup. He also gave back to his community by participating in Walking a Mile in Her Shoes.
Demmon loved spending time hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He also enjoyed time on his Harley. Halloween was his favorite holiday as it allowed him to display his creations and contraptions. His daughter, Addison, can attest that he could randomly be dressed in full costume long after the holiday had ended just to make her laugh.
He was gifted with exceptional talents, which were not only displayed throughout his artistic ability, but by the laughter and happiness he created for everyone around him. Most importantly, he adored his two daughters more than anything and was an incredibly loving and caring father. Demmon leaves a lasting imprint on all the hearts that knew him. The stories and memories of this incredible man have touched so many and will last forever.
