

Jack W. Baldwin, 57, of Springfield, died at 7:19 a.m. January 25, 2005 at his home. Jack was born March 26, 1947 in Springfield the son of James D. and Mary F. Woodruff Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin was a graduate from Sams Technical Institute in Indianapolis, IN for drafting. He worked for the State of Illinois, Department of Transportation as a printer for 27 years retiring in 1998. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Veteran serving during Vietnam Era. He was a member of American Legion Post #32. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister: Bette (husband, Tiny) Jack Chapman of Springfield three nieces: Kimberly (husband, James) Strickland of Springfield, Sonja (husband, Rick) Geist of Springfield, Meredith (husband, Scott) Seman of Florence, IL; one nephew: James Robert (wife, Samantha) Bounds of Mayfield, KY and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2005 a Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley officiating. Burial will be at 12:00 noon at Linwood Cemetery in Pana.
