Jack R. Beebe

Jack R. Beebe, 63, of Petersburg, died at 6:37 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital ER. Jack was born, February 20, 1941 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of Frank and Mary Myers Beebe. He married Sheila Zembruski in 1981 at Champaign Urbana, IL. Mr. Beebe received his Bachelors’ Degree from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He was an Assistant Professor on the faculty at Lincoln Land Community College where he taught computer technology. He previously served as Assistant Vice President of Lincoln Land Community College, as Director of IT Training at the Illinois Commerce Commission, and as Executive Director at Frances Nelson Health Center in Urbana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jack served on community, educational, self-help, drug prevention and mentoring boards. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Petersburg; one son: Cory Beebe of Petersburg; three daughters: Erika Fitzgerald, Sophia Beebe both of Springfield and Brittany Beebe of Petersburg; mother: Mary Beebe of Petersburg; sister: Barbara (husband, Tom) Jonak of Rochester, NY and many nieces and nephews. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St. Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children of Jack Beebe c/o National Bank of Petersburg, 321 N. 6th, Petersburg, IL 62675. The family of Jack R.
