Jakob Louis Valentine Malek was born and entered into eternal life on July 28, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: James Malek and great-grandparents: Walter and Caroline Malek, and Fred and Katherine Herr. He is survived by his parents: Jason Malek and Courtney Herr of Springfield; one brother: Jarrett Herr of Springfield; one sister: Alena Malek of Springfield; grandparents: Fred and Kim Herr of Springfield; Janet Lowe of Sarasota, FL, and Marie and Dick Robinson of Springfield; great-grandparents: Glenna Mason of Springfield, Jerry and Alta Crabtree of Gillespie, Taris and Mary Cunningham of Benld, Harold and Joyce Westbrook of Jacksonville, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation was accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Private Graveside Services will be held at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz officiating.
