James C. "Jim" Bolt, 69, of Springfield, died at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at St. John's Hospital. James was born July 12, 1939 in Chicago, the son of Clayton and Kathryn Stephens Bolt. James was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons, Michael and William Bolt both of Springfield; one daughter, Theresa Bolt-Cole of St. Petersburg, FL; several grandchildren; one brother, John Bolt of Springfield; two sisters, Farrell Ambuehl and Kathy (husband, Charles)Welker both of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Graveside ceremonies and inurnment will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Virtues of Life Columbarium in Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Clint Cook officiating. The family of James C. Bolt is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
