James L. Klobnak

James L. Klobnak, 71, of Springfield, passed away on August 10, 2026 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 30, 1954 in Litchfield, Illinois to Joseph Eugene Klobnak and Evelyn Lehman. James married Renee Folkers in Gillespie, Illinois on November 23, 1973 and she survives.

Mr. Klobnak is also survived by three children: Bradley J. (Pam) Klobnak of Rochester, Alaina (Eric) Snodgrass of Mahomet, IL. and Taylor J. "TJ" Klobnak of Springfield and four grandchildren: Lauryn and Lyliann Klobnak and Amelia and Graham Snodgrass. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Joseph, Jerry and Keith Klobnak and Rebecca Nash.

James grew up in Benld, Illinois and attended Lewis and Clark Community College and St. Louis Technical College. He worked for the State of Illinois Department of Transportation in Computer Drafting. James enjoyed refinishing furniture, collecting tools and hats and working on cars. He also was a Boy Scout Leader and a soccer coach when his children were young.

Cremation rites were accorded and the family will host a memorial gathering at a later date.
