James H. Reed, 56, of Springfield, died at 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at his residence. He was born on December 1, 1949, in Peoria, the son of James and Verna Reed. He married Donna Prince on May 9, 1992 in Springfield. He was a prior member of the Easter Seals Society program in Peoria and he attended the day program through United Cerebral Palsy five days a week. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Donna Reed; one aunt: Della Mae Blomenshine and several nieces and nephews. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with Milton Bost officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
