Jeanne Gloria Landry

Jeanne Gloria Landry, 87, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on 29 October, 2012. Born January 18, 1925 in Manchester NH, she was the daughter of the late Moise Martel and Helen Nadeau Martel. She was married on May 29, 1948 to Gerard A. Landry and was married 30 years.

She was a member of the Springfield Cache Club, a volunteer of Sangamon Auditorium with the University of Illinois-Springfield for 10 years, a member of the Illinois Preservation Society, and member of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. In 1989 she retired from AC&R Components, currently known as Henry Technology, in Chatham Illinois; she also enjoyed reading and was an avid card player.

She is survived by two daughters Ellen Henry (Garry), from San Antonio TX, and Maureen Bohlen (Brad), from Madison WI; two sons, Richard Landry (Lourdes), from Chatham IL, and Donald Landry (Suzie), from Springfield IL; a brother, Robert Martel of Manchester NH; six grandchildren, Barbara, Lisa, Joshua, Joel, Nicholas, and Benjamin and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Devin, Megan and Teresa.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM – 7:00PM on Thursday, Nov 1, 2012, at Bisch Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Blvd, Springfield IL. Funeral Services will be on Friday, Nov 2, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. A graveside service will be conducted directly after funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
