Jeff A. Cumming

Jeff was born on May 30, 1970 in Springfield, the son of Bruce A. and Tamra V. (Fonjemie) Cumming. He married Lorilee Ann Rule on April 29, 1993 in Minneapolis, MN.

Jeff graduated from Hopkins High School in Hopkins, MN and then attended college in Texas. He worked in the flooring industry for over 24 years and most recently co-owned and operated Jacksonville Floor Covering. Jeff was the coach of his kids’ baseball teams and was a member of the Elks Club in Jacksonville. He enjoyed fishing, bike riding, and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Pat Cumming and Henry and Veronica Fonjemie.

He is survived by his mother, Tami (Mike Sullivan) Rooney of Springfield; his father, Bruce (Mary) Cumming of Springfield; wife, Lori Cumming of Carver, MN; two sons, Jacob (Caiti) Cumming of Chatham and Travis Cumming of Jacksonville; one daughter, Eliza Cumming of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Wesley Cumming; one sister, Dawn M. (Rob Robinson) Cumming of Madison, WI; his step-brother, David (Carrie) Rooney of Chatham; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; two bonus sisters, Cara (Shawn) Burnley and Jill (Bryan) Cornell; and his faithful dog, Edith.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Private family ceremonies will be held.

The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.
