Mr. Clay worked in maintenance for many years and he loved his two rescue dogs Glory and Taz.
Jeffery is survived by his son Zach Pettus, siblings Gary Clay of Auburn, David Clay of Springfield, Debbie Floyd of Enterprise, AL., Sharon Clipston of North Carolina and Michael Callarman of Springfield and his good friend Jim Hollinshead. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Cremation rites were accorded.
