Jenae D. Brown, 55, of Springfield, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at St. John's Hospital. Jenae was born July 16, 1952, the daughter of Carl and Maryviolet Henderson Brown. Her parents preceded her in death. Jenae graduated from Ursuline Academy and went on to Quincy College and Northwestern University where she earned a Masters Degree. She was employed for over thirty years with the State of Illinois retiring in 2005 from the Dept. of Human Services as a rehabilitation counselor. Jenae is survived by many cousins. Family will receive friends from 9:30 10:15 am on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 with a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 am at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 524 E. Lawrence, Springfield with Rev. Peter C. Harman, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Dominican Sisters- Sacred Heart Convent, 1237 W. Monroe, Springfield, IL 62704.
