

Jeremy Miles Lynch, 37, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Chatham, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 15, 2017. He was born August 25, 1980, in Springfield to Timothy M. and Linda Stephenson Lynch. He was preceded in death by his father in 1993. Jeremy was a member of Glenwood High Schools State Champion Football team in 1998. Shortly after graduating from Glenwood, he proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He served for 4 years including a deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He worked as a finance manager at OBrien Automotive in Florida. Even though he was a Florida resident, he was still an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Jeremy had an infectious smile that lit up the room; he loved with all his heart. He enjoyed putting a smile on his childrens faces, taking them to the beach, watching them play sports and visiting Disney World with them. He had a strong relationship with his siblings and would meet up with them at 311 concerts. Jeremy was a people person who would spend time with his friends when he travelled back to central Illinois. He enjoyed grilling out and relaxing with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his children, Miles Joseph Lynch and Molly Ann Lynch of Cape Coral and their mother, Amy Bell Lynch; mother, Linda Stephenson of Chatham; sister, Kristina (Jeffrey) Gaunt of Michigan; brothers, Timothy Miles Lynch, Jr., Matthew Richard Lynch and Michael Patrick Flynn, all of Chatham; nephews, James Jeffrey JJ Gaunt and Christopher Scott Gaunt; grandmother, Emilee Stephenson of Rochester; and a large extended family; many friends in Florida and Illinois. Services were held in Florida and cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, December 23, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL, 62629. Burial following at Chatham Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at the KC Hall, 141 North Lakewood Drive, Chatham, will follow the committal at the cemetery.
