Jerome "Jerry" Roberts, 76, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Jerry was born August 18, 1939 in Springfield, the son of Thomas and Agnes Creviston Roberts. He married Judy Timm on August 29, 1959 in Springfield; she preceded him in death. Jerry graduated from Feitshans High School and attended Springfield Junior College. He retired from Central Illinois Public Service and enjoyed traveling. He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kim Roberts; and sister, Carol Peters. He is survived by his son, Kevin (wife, Tammy) Roberts; sister, Kathy (husband, Steve) Buckman; four grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew, Christopher, and Brianna Roberts; great-grandchild, Kalen Roberts; and several other family members. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Girard Cemetery.
