Jesse E. Vancil, 67, of Springfield, IL. passed away on July 5, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1955 in Macomb, Illinois to James E. Vancil and Helen Rock. Jesse married Karen Lane on March 15, 1980 in Robins, Iowa.
Mr. Vancil is survived by his wife, three children: Matthew (Amy) Vancil of Tampa, FL., Luke Vancil of Springfield, IL., and Erica (Richard) Woo of Lake St. Louis, MO. and three grandchildren, as well as his mother of Galesburg, IL., and one brother James (Elizabeth) Vancil of Davenport, IA. He was preceded in death by his father.
Jesse worked as a Public Service Administrator at the State of Illinois Comptroller’s Office. He had a deep love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his family. Cremation rites were accorded.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Inn at 835 in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday, July 23rd, at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Answers in Genesis where Jesse was a Charter Member.
