

Joann Taylor, 60, of Springfield, passed away at 6:38 p.m., November 7, 2001 at Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO from complications after a stem cell transplant. She was born July 17, 1941 the daughter of John and Betty Feld Holtschlag in Quincy, IL. She married Eugene “Casey” Taylor in Trenton, GA on September 25, 1960. Mrs. Taylor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Jim and Don Holtschlag, and her parents. She is survived by her husband: Eugene “Casey”; three sons: Chuck (wife, Jenny) of Springfield, Scott (wife, Gina) of Loami, and Todd of Evansville, IN; thirteen brothers and sisters: Janet (husband, Ron) Woerman of Aurora, IL, John Holtschlag of Hawaii, Jane Graham of Bullhead City, AZ, June (husband, Bill) Stanger of Austin, TX, Rosie (husband, Jim) McCormick of Springfield, Susie Rosen of Pittsburgh, PA, Joe Holtschlag of Quincy, Barb (husband, Clarence) Connors of Beecher City, IL, Debbie Schierholz of Springfield, Jeff (wife, Carol) Holtschlag of Trevor, WI, Donna (husband, Travis) Wollbrink of Geneseo, IL, Jerry (wife, Kim) Holtschlag of Quincy, and Jack (wife, Lori) Holtschlag of Quincy, and five grandchildren: Jessica, Colin, Harrison, Clayton, Evan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2001 with a Wake Service at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church with the Very Rev. Patrick Wright celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Center, 4215 Lindell Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63108.
