Johanna Mary Leikvold

Johanna was born on June 19, 1987, in Champaign, IL. The first-born child of married couple Daniel Leikvold and Karen Guger. She was preceded in death by her father who passed away in 2014. Now the two will enjoy their time together in Heaven. Johannas brother, Carsten Leikvold, and mother, Karen Guger, will hold them both in their hearts forever.

Johanna attended grades K-12 in Chatham, IL and graduated from Glenwood High School. She then went on to earn an Associates Degree from Lincoln Land Community College. Her future plans were to attend law school and focus on Environmental Law in California among her beloved Redwoods.

Johanna was employed at Pier 1 for 8 years and then was employed at Zelle Title Company whom she loved working for.

During her free time, she enjoyed chatting with her friends and talking their ears off. She also enjoyed reading, seeing movies, cooking, listening to music, working on puzzles, viewing the midnight sky, and spending time with her beloved cat, "Kitty, Kitty."

Visitation and Celebration of Life: Family will receive friends from 3:00 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 p.m.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
