Jack was born August 20, 1929, in Springfield, the son of John and Grace Almeda Hines Brown.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was employed with the Painters Union Local #90 for many years until his retirement. Jack enjoyed watching Little League Baseball, gardening, fountains, having a beer, and eating ice cream and hard candy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, James Michael Brown and John Brown II; brother, James Brown; and sister, Joan Jones.
Jack is survived by his grandchildren, Nikki (Andrew) Schultz and Jessica Lynn (John) Langdon, both of Springfield; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Private family ceremonies will be held.
