

John David Kreutzer, 90, of Springfield, died at (time) Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, IL John was born on May 15, 1915 in Peru, Indiana the son of John B. and Elva Ord Kreutzer. He married Mildred Zartman on February 1, 1941 in Beloit, WI. Mr. Kreutzer worked for Illinois Bell, which later became Western Electric and is now Amertich as an Installation Engineer Manager; he retired after 42 years of service. He served in the Signal Corps. He was a member of 4th Degree Bishop Griffin Assembly, Knights of Columbus Council #364, Springfield Noon Lions Club and Telephone Pioneers. He was preceded in death by his parents and son: John David Kreutzer. He is survived by his wife: Mildred Kreutzer of Springfield; two daughters: Mary (husband, John) Blum of St. Louis, MO, Jane (husband, Robert) Jankowski of Darrin, IL; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers: Richard, Robert (wife, Kathryn), Thomas (wife, Donna) Kreutzer all of Peru, IN and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., on Wednesday, September 21, 2005. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Septmember 22, 2005 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. David Hoefler celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family of John David Kreutzer is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
