John was my one and only uncle. I knew Uncle Johnny longer than anyone I knew on this earth. It seems he has always been here. I remember visiting him and my aunt in their upstairs apartment soon after they were married. I remember him and my aunt staying with me at our house in 1948 while dad took mom to the hospital to have my brother Keith. I knew him longer than my dad, my mother or my brother.

We spent many, many Sundays and Holidays together over the years. At our house, his house or my grandparents farm. Since my wife and I have lived in Florida we hadn't seen him as much the last few years but he and Aunt Lois would visit us in Florida every year when their health would permit. We would always visit them when we were in Illinois.

John will be missed.
