

John “Jack” Robinson, 74, of Riverton, died at 6:44 p.m. on March 20, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1931 in Urbana, the son of William C. and Florence Field Robinson. He married Marie McGartland on November 5, 1958 in Springfield. Jack retired in1993 from Phillips Brothers Printing after twenty-six years as a printing press operator. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses East Congregation, Springfield, IL. Jack was a member of Local Union #30. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: James Robinson, Norbert Robinson and William Robinson and one sister: Lindell Wallace. He is survived by his wife: Marie Robinson of Riverton; one son: David (wife, Jill) Robinson of Riverton; one daughter: Lisa (husband, Doug) Seymour of Riverton; three grandchildren: Stuart and Alec Seymour and Jenna Robinson; one sister: Mary Jane Alexander of Rantoul; two brothers: Daniel Robinson of New Mexico and Michael Robinson of West Virginia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. There will be no funeral services.
